The Argosy Project

The ‘Argosy Project’ is a residential community of Jesus people and non-Jesus people, that I helped start in the summer of 2011. There are about 20 of us, depending on how you count, and we live / hang out at the Argosy at Crestview apartment complex, in north central Austin.

For more info about Argosy, check out this blog from the middle of our first year:
A Missional Community

For even more info, check out the Argosy Project blog, which we remember to update occasionally:

Finally, here is a picture of some of us doing our own silly Halloween 5K:

    1. Heh cool right? When I looked that up I wasn’t sure if the ‘argosy’ in ‘argosy project’ referred to the complex or the group of people moving into it 🙂

  2. Ian, I’m excited about the possibilities in this project. I’ve been wondering and hoping about what God wants me to do about living when I get back to Austin, and this project is in line with my best hopes. I’ll be praying about it. Thanks for sharing it.

    1. Heh, yeah I guess I had heard the name from Seth or Mike sometime on the Race, and it stuck in my brain. This blog has been around since Fall 2009, so a year and a half before the other Kingdom Dreams 😀

  3. Ian, Did you know that God has had an eye on getting Hopeites into Argosy for several years…i remember several Hope-full gatherings with Catherine Price, Melody Leung, then Paige Hill and Amy Peebles in the early 2000’s. Eric Edmonson lived there until last year. You probably know Janell Arce lives there now. And those are just the ones I know about…also, at least 3 Hope families (including mine) live near the intersection of Justin & Grover, just one block away…May the Lord bless your obedience!

  4. This is so awesome!!!! As Brie mentioned I am currently at the Argosy. However, I have been seeking God about moving this fall, and have been going back and forth. I would like to stay within the neighborhood, like Allendale area.

I am really excited about what God is gonna do through this vision and hope that I’ll get to participate!!!
